Pooling Gyaan :An important aspect with pooling is to be imaginative in your approach and not just bank on finding people sharing the exact same to and from locations and begin and return time. Its great if you do but there can be successful pools even if you dont.
How do I find a pooling partner once I register?
Goto Search Route Sharers and either specify your search criteria or allow the application to suggest suitable
partners to you based on your profile.
Once you find a suitable partner you can contact him through commuteeasy.Arrange to meet and explore the feasibility
of pooling with each other.
How do we share costs once we decide to pool?
Decide on the commute vehicle. You could opt for one of the following options-
One member gets his/her own vehicle everyday.
Each of the members get their vehicles on a rotational basis.
A rental agency can be contacted for the vehicle, with or without a driver.
If any of the first two options are chosen, then the fare should be arrived at based on the fuel, maintenance
and parking costs and be shared fairly amongst the participating pool members.
If the third option is chosen,then the amount quoted by the agency can be directly used.

I have found a pooling partner and started pooling. How do I prevent my profile from appearing in future searches?
Just Goto My Profile and click on the 'Deactivate Profile' link to deactivate your profile.
Please note that deactivating the profile will not delete your membership. You can re activate your profile again whenever you wish to.

How do I get more people to contact me?
To increase the number of members contacting you, specify the following details in your profile:
Places enroute: Goto My Profile -> Edit Profile and
select your route.
Organization & orkut name : This will allow people to know more about you.
Enter a brief description about yourself in the 'About Me' field.

Yes you can.
Set Return Time to 'Not Particular' to get a list of people sharing your begin time.

Contact members in each result set clearly stating that you are looking for a one way pool with them.
I travel from Basveshwarnagar to Airport Road and pass through Rajajinagar. In my search Priya travelling from Rajajinagar to Airport Rd also shows up.

On the days you dont want to drive , park your car/bike at Priya's place.
Travel with her from Rajajinagar to Airport Road in her vehicle.
Priya will drop you back to Rajajinagar.
You now have your car/bike waiting for you to take it home.

My pooling partner has really varied timings and that kinda screws up my schedule. What should I do?
Its totally alright to clearly negotiate and decide on the begin and return time. Once that is fixed, flexibility of a few minutes(10-15) can be accorded either way.
